Willis stars as Jack Mosley; a burnt out detective with little time on the force left. He is presented with the unenviable task of escorting a down on his luck convict from the jail to the courthouse, covering 16 blocks. However he soon realises that this may not be your usual bum convict that he is escorting. He soon finds out that the prisoner is due to testify against many of the police from the NYPD, who are Mosley’s colleagues and some his friends. They find that the police do not want the prisoner to make it to the court and will do anything to ensure he doesn’t testify, even kill him, and even kill Mosley. In a story of opposites finding they have more in common than they may think and of self redemption 16 Blocks hits hard and stays in the memory long after the credits have rolled.
